Kenji Yamamoto and Minako Hamano's 1994 SNES score is a masterclass in atmosphere, all rumbling bass, tribal drums, eerie ambience and airy synth themes that follow Samus Aran deep into Planet Zebes. Miller tracked down the original workstation samples and drum machines used before the music was squeezed into the cartridge, then rebuilt and remixed everything in a modern studio to lift the veil of 16-bit compression. The result is 27 tracks across a double LP on biovinyl, with artwork by Pierre Thyss and an OBI strip.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0589/2866/0689/files/jammin-sam-miller-super-metroid-recreated-original-soundtrack-vinyl-lp-4251804144100-wrwtfww-records-good-taste-records-428267.jpg?v=1742361426
jammin-sam-miller-a-link-to-the-past-tribute-forest-green-color-vinyl-lp
Jammin' Sam Miller - A Link To The Past Tribute (Forest Green Color) Vinyl LP

Jammin' Sam Miller rebuilt Koji Kondo's 1991 Zelda score from scratch, note by note, without sampling a second of the original audio. He tracked down the equipment used on the SNES sessions, translated the MIDI into a modern studio, layered his own keyboards over it, then remixed and remastered the whole thing. What comes out is familiar and completely new at once, twenty-seven cues from the title theme through Hyrule Field and the Dark World.
