A new production of the 1987 album. The seeds of this reimagining were sown in 2008 when Bowie asked Mario McNulty to remix Time Will Crawl with new drums from longtime drummer Sterling Campbell and strings, released to acclaim on the iSelect compilation. In early 2018 McNulty returned to Electric Lady Studios with Campbell, bassist Tim Lefebvre of the Blackstar band, and guitarists Reeves Gabrels and David Torn, all with a history alongside Bowie, reworking the songs anew. String arrangements are handled by Nico Muhly.
