Shipping policy
Handling and processing time
We have a handling time of 1 to 2 business days from when an order is placed, outside of holiday periods such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. Orders placed before 12pm Eastern, Monday through Friday, are generally packed and shipped the same day. Orders placed after 12pm Eastern are processed on the next business day. Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays are not business days.
Carriers and delivery estimates
We ship with USPS, and you choose your shipping option at checkout. The delivery timeframes shown at checkout are estimates provided by the carrier, not guarantees. We do our best to fulfill every order in time to meet the estimated arrival date. We offer USPS Ground Advantage and Priority for all orders, with free media mail shipping for records, CDs, & cassettes for orders of $65+ placed in the United States.
How your order is packed
All records ship in sturdy, double-walled cardboard mailers built specifically for vinyl. Records always ship on their own. If your order includes other item types, they ship separately, and some items, specifically apparel, may ship from a different location and arrive on their own timeline. We hold and ship our own record inventory directly and do not drop ship records from a third party. Turntables and audio equipment are sold in-store only and are not available to ship.
International shipping
We ship internationally and are actively expanding to more countries where we can deliver safely at fair local rates. Available destinations are shown at checkout. We do not refund shipping or duty charges unless the return is the result of our error.
Order limits
Unless a listing states otherwise, all albums are limited to one copy per order. Attempts to bypass this limit, including placing multiple simultaneous orders, will result in the orders being cancelled.
Pre-orders
We offer pre-orders on select items, online and in-store. Pre-orders are not charged until the item is ready to ship. Because everything in an order ships together, we recommend placing pre-orders as their own separate order so the rest of your items are not held. Pre-orders are not guaranteed, which is why we do not charge until shipping. We send shipping-timeframe and order updates as they become available. For pre-order cancellations, see our Refund Policy.
Backordered items
Nearly everything we sell ships from on-hand inventory. A small number of items are filled on a backorder basis and can take 14 to 60 days to arrive before they ship. The timing depends on several factors outside our control, and we work to keep this window as short as we can.
Address accuracy and returned packages
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. If you notice an error after ordering, contact us right away and we can correct it before the order ships. Orders returned to us because of an address error, such as an incorrect or nonexistent address, require new shipping to be purchased, plus the return-to-sender fee that the carrier charges us. If you choose to cancel an order that has been returned to us for a delivery error, the refund is subject to a 10% restocking fee and has the return-to-sender fee deducted. Orders that need address confirmation are voided after 7 days if we do not hear back.
Lost, stolen, or undeliverable packages
Once a package is with the carrier, our options to help are limited if it is lost, stolen, or otherwise unretrievable. For anything marked delivered but not at your address, please check with your local USPS office first, and we will help however we can.
Parcel forwarding
If you use a parcel forwarding service, we are not responsible for damage in transit between your forwarder and your final delivery address, and no refunds are provided for that damage.
Fraud and abuse
We reserve the right to refuse business or orders in cases of fraud or abuse of our systems and policies, including attempts to circumvent our shipping, order-quantity, or other policies. Ongoing attempts to abuse or circumvent these protections will prevent future orders from being placed.
Cancellations and refunds
