Album Facts
Bonobo - Black Sands (Indie Exclusive Eco-Mix Marble Color) Vinyl LP
Downtempo turned cinematic: strings, woodwinds and Andreya Triana.
- Indie Exclusive Eco Mix Marble color vinyl LP of Bonobo's 2010 album Black Sands
- A landmark of organic, downtempo electronic music on Ninja Tune
- Essential for downtempo and electronic fans and color vinyl collectors
Black Sands is the fourth album from Simon Green as Bonobo, released on Ninja Tune in 2010 and the record that turned his downtempo craft into something cinematic. Live instrumentation, warm strings and woodwinds sit on top of crisp, shuffling beats, and Andreya Triana's vocals on "Eyesdown" and "The Keeper" give the album its emotional center. Green's control of texture and color never lets the detail get in the way of the groove, and "Kiara" and "Kong" show how hard it can swing. This indie exclusive edition is pressed on eco-mix marble vinyl.
