- Ambient electronic score that has soundtracked an entire generation's gaming life
- Essential video game and lo-fi electronic pickup for any soundtracks collection
Originally released in 2011 by German producer C418 (Daniel Rosenfeld), Minecraft Volume Alpha is the soundtrack to Minecraft, a collection of gentle, ambient electronic pieces that have become beloved far beyond gaming. Built from soft piano, hazy synths, and lots of open space, the music drifts in and out the way it does in the game, making it just as good for reading, studying, or a rainy afternoon. Warm, melancholy, and quietly beautiful, it features fan favorites "Sweden," "Subwoofer Lullaby," "Wet Hands," and "Mice on Venus." Pressed on transparent green vinyl, it is essential for any video game soundtrack or ambient collection.
