Album Facts
Gorillaz - The Fall Vinyl LP
The British virtual band's 4th studio album
- Reissue on Warner Records of the 2010 fourth studio album
- Recorded entirely on an iPad during the Escape to Plastic Beach tour
- Unique lo-fi entry in the Gorillaz catalog for completist collectors
The Fall is the fourth studio album from Gorillaz, recorded by Damon Albarn largely on an iPad during the North American leg of the Escape to Plastic Beach tour in 2010 and released in April 2011. Sketched in hotel rooms and on the road, it is a hazy, melancholy travelogue of American places, from Revolving Doors and Phoner to Arizona to the gentle Amarillo. Guests are few but well chosen, including Bobby Womack and The Clash's Paul Simonon. A quietly fascinating, low-key entry in the Gorillaz catalog, and a fan favorite for late nights.
