Black Radio 2, released in 2013, takes the blueprint of Robert Glasper's breakthrough Black Radio and builds on it, and this deluxe edition adds four bonus tracks. The core remains the Experiment, Glasper on keyboards with Derrick Hodge, Mark Colenburg and Casey Benjamin, joined by a remarkable roll call of vocalists including Common, Jill Scott, Brandy, Norah Jones, Anthony Hamilton, Faith Evans, Snoop Dogg, Lupe Fiasco and Lalah Hathaway. The emphasis this time is on songwriting, with nearly every track a new original, closing on Hathaway's moving take on Stevie Wonder's Jesus Children of America.
