After graduating from the BRIT School in 2006, she recorded a three-song demo for a class project; a friend posted it to Myspace, where it took off and drew interest from XL Recordings. Adele wrote most of the album herself, working with a select few collaborators including producer Jim Abbiss, Eg White, and Sacha Skarbek.
