Live at the JammJam captures Terrace Martin's Gray Area in full flight, recorded at United Recording in front of a packed room of 300. The band gathers a who's who of the modern LA jazz scene, including Kamasi Washington, Ronald Bruner Jr., Maurice "Mobetta" Brown, Ben Wendel, Paul Cornish, and Joshua Crumbly. Originally a digital-only document of Jammcard's signature event, it opens with a jazz reading of "For Free?" (which Martin co-wrote for Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp a Butterfly) and stretches into long, heated jam sessions. Some of the most exciting live jazz committed to tape in years.
