TEXT059 is a Four Tet mystery, a surprise release Kieran Hebden slipped out on his own Text Records with almost no fanfare. Across eight tracks, including two that had only ever surfaced digitally, he does what he does better than almost anyone: folding organic textures, skittering rhythms and half-glimpsed melodies into music that feels both meticulously built and completely weightless. It sits comfortably alongside his best headphone records and just as easily in a late-night DJ set. The kind of quiet drop his devotees have learned to pounce on.
