Originally released in 2013, it is widely regarded as the defining footwork LP, landing on year-end and decade-end lists from Pitchfork, The Guardian, Resident Advisor, and more before Rashad's tragic death in 2014. Footwork is the grandchild of house and the child of ghetto house: high-BPM, complex sampling, and heavy driving bass that grew from Chicago clubs into a global scene through Rashad and the Teklife collective. A seminal record and an essential piece of modern electronic music.
