Bacco (Masayoshi Takanaka) - Cha Cha Me (Yellow Color) Vinyl LP
Takanaka goes West Coast rock, cut fresh at Abbey Road.
- Yellow Color reissue of Bacco, the West Coast rock session unit led by Masayoshi Takanaka
- Funky fusion with explosive vocals from Jim Diamond, originally released in 1979
- Newly remastered at Abbey Road for the 50th anniversary of Takanaka's solo debut
Bacco was a session unit led by Masayoshi Takanaka, and Cha Cha Me, from 1979, is its one album: tight, groovy West Coast rock with a funky fusion engine underneath. Scottish singer Jim Diamond brings big, emotional vocals, Robert Brill plays drums and co-produced alongside Takanaka, and Jun Sato on keys and Getao Takahashi on bass round out a band that clearly enjoyed itself. Part of the 50th anniversary reissue run of Takanaka's Kitty-era work, newly remastered and cut by Alex Wharton at Abbey Road, on yellow vinyl.
