John Williams - Star Wars: A New Hope (Japanese Import) (Blue Color) Vinyl LP
The score that started it all, in its Japanese jacket and obi strip.
- John Williams' 1977 Star Wars score, pressed on clear deep blue vinyl
- Japanese import double LP
- Includes the Main Title, Cantina Band and the Throne Room finale
This is John Williams' original score for the first Star Wars film, released in the US in 1977 and in Japan in 1978, and the music that won him the Academy Award for Best Original Score. So many of the themes that define the saga were born right here: the "Main Title," "Imperial Attack," "Princess Leia's Theme," and the endlessly hummable "Cantina Band." This Japanese import reproduces the original Japanese jacket design with an obi strip and is pressed on blue vinyl across two LPs. The audio comes from the 192kHz/24bit master remastered by Shawn Murphy and Skywalker Sound.
