Cocteau Twins - Four Calendar Café Vinyl LP
Cocteau Twins at their brightest, finally on US vinyl
- Cocteau Twins' 1993 seventh album, reissued by 4AD in 2024
- New 24-bit masters by Robin Guthrie from his original studio mixes
- Includes the singles Evangeline and Bluebeard
Four Calendar Café, first released in October 1993, is the seventh studio album by Cocteau Twins and their first after leaving 4AD. It is the band at their brightest and most direct: Elizabeth Fraser's vocals sit clearer in the mix than ever before, while Robin Guthrie's guitars and Simon Raymonde's bass build warm, open pop around her on the singles Evangeline and Bluebeard. Never before formally released on vinyl outside Europe, it arrived through 4AD's US reissue in January 2024, with Guthrie returning to his original studio mixes for brand new 24-bit masters. A luminous, underrated chapter in the band's story.
