Forest of Lost Children is a 2014 album from Kikagaku Moyo, the Tokyo collective formed in 2012 by drummer Go Kurosawa and guitarist Tomo Katsurada. Bassist Kotsuguy, guitarist Akira and Ryu Kurosawa, who had studied sitar in India, rounded out the five-piece. Delicate melodies and soft vocal harmonies sit right up against fuzzed-out sitar riffs and walls of feedback, so the record moves from tender to explosive and back without ever losing its human touch. It plays like a conversation, always changing. This indie exclusive pressing is a lovely way into one of modern psych's most beloved bands.
