Allison and Katie Crutchfield have formed a new band, Snocaps, and their 13-track debut arrived as a surprise digital release before this vinyl and CD edition. An indie-rock record that recalls Allison's band Swearin' and Katie's early work as Waxahatchee, it was born of the twin sisters' wish to make music together again as they had in their teens and twenties. They're backed by close collaborators Brad Cook and MJ Lenderman, with Cook producing and engineering nearly all of it, and all four trading off multiple instruments. After more than 20 years of working together, the sisters are sure to reunite again down the line.
