Album Facts
Al Green - Greatest Hits (180g) Vinyl LP
Willie Mitchell's Memphis groove and that voice, on 180 gram vinyl
- Fat Possum 180g vinyl pressing of Al Green's essential Greatest Hits compilation
- Career-defining 70s Memphis soul hits produced by Willie Mitchell at Hi Records
- Includes Let's Stay Together, Tired of Being Alone, I'm Still in Love with You, and Love and Happiness
Al Green's Greatest Hits first arrived in 1975 on Hi Records, and it still works as the front door to his catalog. Producer Willie Mitchell and the Hi house band built a sound out of patience: a lazy horn line, a tight Memphis groove and all the room in the world for that voice to float, whisper and suddenly soar. "Let's Stay Together," "Tired of Being Alone," "Love and Happiness" and "I'm Still in Love with You" are all here, warm and sensual as ever. Pressed on 180 gram vinyl by Fat Possum, it is a soul shelf essential.
