Khruangbin & Leon Bridges - Texas Sun (Black Color) Vinyl EP
Psych grooves and a warm soul croon on a Texas road trip
- Black Color vinyl pressing of the 2020 Khruangbin and Leon Bridges collaborative EP Texas Sun
- Four-track meeting of Khruangbin's instrumental grooves and Bridges's silky soul vocals
- Includes the title track Texas Sun, Midnight, C-Side, and Conversion
Released in 2020 on Dead Oceans, Texas Sun is the four-song collaborative EP between Houston trio Khruangbin and Fort Worth soul singer Leon Bridges, and the band's first time writing with a vocalist. Khruangbin's dusty, psychedelic groove gives Bridges plenty of room for his warm croon, and the result feels like a sun-baked Texas road trip with gospel, country and soul drifting in through the windows. The gorgeous title track and "Midnight" anchor it, with "C-Side" and "Conversion" rounding out the set. An effortlessly cool modern favorite on black vinyl, essential for any soul or psych collection.
