Danzig - 1/I (RSD Essential White Color) Vinyl LP
The debut of Glenn Danzig's dark vision of the world
- RSD Essential White Color vinyl pressing of Danzig's 1988 self-titled debut on American Recordings
- Strictly limited Record Store Day variant of the foundational heavy metal landmark
- Includes era-defining tracks Mother and Twist of Cain
Danzig's self-titled 1988 debut is the record where Glenn Danzig, fresh from the Misfits and Samhain, found the dark, bluesy heavy metal sound that defined his band. Produced by Rick Rubin for Def American, it pairs thick, Sabbath-weight riffs from guitarist John Christ with Danzig's booming, Elvis-meets-Morrison croon. Mother became his signature song, and Twist of Cain, Am I Demon and She Rides keep the menace high. This RSD Essentials edition is the first official vinyl repressing from American Recordings, on white vinyl in a gatefold jacket with printed inner sleeve.
