Far from an old-timer cashing in on the disco craze, the record was pure brilliance: the infusion of Candido's Latin conga beats into a disco-fied four-on-the-floor pulse proved irresistible, reshaping underground disco and pointing the way toward house music. Both "Jingo," an unstoppable take on the Olatunji classic, and "Thousand Finger Man" remain DJ favorites to this day.
