Backed by a rhythm section of future legends, bassist Tony Levin and drummer Steve Gadd, both at the very start of their careers, the record blends driving Gap Mangione Trio grooves with the sensitive orchestration of his brother Chuck Mangione, folding rock, big band jazz, improvisation, and classical ideas into a cohesive whole. Long a holy grail for crate diggers, its tracks have been sampled by J Dilla, Madlib, and Ghostface Killah. Carefully remastered from the original tapes, this deluxe tip-on edition includes Gap's own story across a designed insert.
