Mind Game is the seventh studio album from Miho Nakayama, who was only 18 when it arrived in 1988, just months after Catch the Nite. Toshinobu Kubota composed three of its twelve songs and his production team shaped much of the rest, with further writing from KITARO, Koji Nakamura and singer-songwriter Cindy, giving it a sleek, synth-driven city pop sound with a funky late-80s edge. Nakayama wrote the lyrics to opener Into the Crowd and Long Distance to the Heaven herself, under the name Mizuho Kitayama. A summery Japanese pop gem, reissued on clear vinyl.
