Volume 2 of the acclaimed Wamono Japanese funk comp reissued again!
- Vinyl pressing of Wamono A to Z Vol. II: Japanese Funk 1970-1977
- Continues the DJ Yoshizawa Dynamite and Chintam curated deep-dive into Japanese funk
- Essential second volume for global-groove and rare-funk collectors
The second volume of the acclaimed Wamono series digs into some of the best and rarest funk produced in Japan between 1970 and 1977. Compilers DJ Yoshizawa Dynamite, a Japanese DJ, remixer and producer since the late eighties, and DJ Chintam, owner of the Blow Up shop in Tokyo's Shibuya district, wrote the Wamono A to Z record guide book together in 2015, the reference that opened up a prolific and little-known Japanese groove scene. Expect hard drums, deep bass and jazz-schooled horns from the home-grown Wamono sound. Put the needle down and turn it up.
