Strange Desire is the 2014 debut from Bleachers, the project Jack Antonoff built on the side while still playing guitar in fun. Made with co-producer John Hill, it is a big-hearted love letter to 80s radio: gated drums, shimmering synths and huge singalong choruses wrapped around songs about grief, anxiety and growing up in New Jersey. "I Wanna Get Better" is the anthem, and "Rollercoaster" and "Shadow" are close behind, with Grimes turning up on "Take Me Away" and Yoko Ono on "Wake Me". This pressing puts the whole record on transparent yellow vinyl.
