All I Want Is You is Miguel's 2010 debut, the record that introduced one of modern R&B's most distinctive voices. Where a lot of R&B at the time chased club gloss, Miguel leaned toward something moodier and more personal, with falsetto runs, hazy textures and an easy sensuality that pointed toward the alternative R&B wave that followed. "Sure Thing" became a slow-burning favorite and a modern standard, the title track pairs him with J. Cole, and "Girl with the Tattoo Enter.lewd" and "Quickie" show off his playful side. It has aged beautifully.
