Album Facts
Boston - Boston (self-titled) (Limited) Vinyl LP
Regarded as one of the best rock albums of the 70s, recommended
- Vinyl pressing of Boston's 1976 self-titled debut album on Epic
- Tom Scholz's meticulously crafted classic rock debut, built largely in his home studio
- Includes More Than a Feeling, Peace of Mind, Foreplay/Long Time, and Rock & Roll Band
Boston's 1976 debut is really Tom Scholz's basement tapes: the MIT-trained engineer built most of it himself at home, layering guitars into walls of sound, and Brad Delp's soaring voice put it over the top. Produced by Scholz and John Boylan for Epic, it's one of the defining debut albums of 70s rock. "More Than a Feeling," "Peace of Mind," "Foreplay/Long Time" and "Rock & Roll Band" still live on classic rock radio, and the whole thing sounds as polished as anything made in a proper studio. Includes a digital download.
