CHROMAKOPIA is Tyler, the Creator's eighth studio album and was released on October 28, 2024, via Columbia Records. As with his previous works, Tyler assumed complete artistic control—he wrote, produced, and arranged the album himself. Musically, CHROMAKOPIA blends diverse styles such as hip-hop, R&B, jazz, and soul, and its warmth and color are reminiscent of Flower Boy and Igor. Guest contributions include Daniel Caesar, Doechii, GloRilla, LaToiya Williams, Lil Wayne, Lola Young, Santigold, Schoolboy Q, Sexyy Red, and Teezo Touchdown; Playboi Carti appears on the physical editions.

The album is conceptually structured as a kind of personal diary, narrated by Tyler's mother, Bonita Smith. This framing lends the work an intimate, autobiographical feel. Thematically, CHROMAKOPIA revolves around memory, identity, fear, fame, and self-discovery. Tracks like "Noid" address paranoia and the pressure of being constantly in the public eye, while songs like "Like Him" reflect his complicated relationship with his absent father. The album's complexity—abrupt stylistic shifts, unusual transitions, and conflicting emotions—is often interpreted as a deliberate stylistic device: Tyler depicts the chaos of growing up and self-reflection as an art form. Some critics also point to the title's reference to "chroma" (color), which can be understood as a metaphor for identity, expressiveness, and emotional diversity.

The album consists of 14 tracks. Well-known songs include "Noid," "Sticky" (featuring GloRilla, Lil Wayne, and Sexyy Red), and "Like Him" (feat. Lola Young). The song "Noid" contains a sample of the Ngozi Family's "Nizakupanga Ngozi" (1977). Despite the unusual Monday release, CHROMAKOPIA debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 and sold approximately 299,500 units in its first week—a career record for Tyler. The album also reached top positions internationally, including in the UK, Australia, the Netherlands, and Ireland.

Critic responses were largely enthusiastic: the album's emotional openness, stylistic diversity, and the precise craftsmanship of the production were praised. However, some reviewers criticized the album's sometimes chaotic structure and excessive ideas, which made it difficult to concentrate. Nevertheless, many consider CHROMAKOPIA to be Tyler's most mature and introspective work to date.

The CHROMAKOPIA World Tour, which featured support acts including Lil Yachty and Paris Texas, began in 2025 in support of the album. Overall, CHROMAKOPIA shows Tyler, the Creator at the height of his creative freedom – a colorful, emotionally complex work between nostalgia, self-analysis and new beginnings.
