Their 1984 self-titled debut, produced by Federico Moura of Virus, introduced Gustavo Cerati, Zeta Bosio and Charly Alberti as a lean new wave trio with ska rhythms, sharp guitars and a sly sense of humor about consumer culture. "Te Hacen Falta Vitaminas" and "Sobredosis de TV" were the early hits, "Por Que No Puedo Ser del Jet-Set?" skewers the upper crust, and "Tratame Suavemente" hinted at the romantic depth to come. It is the starting point for one of the great stories in Spanish-language rock.
