Following his 1994 work, Ace turned toward the West Coast and gangsta sound that had swept the nation after the success of Dr. Dre's The Chronic. The album features the crossover hit "Born to Roll," a West Coast remix that began as a hidden track on SlaughtaHouse, along with the singles "The I.N.C. Ride" and the title track.
