The title nods to James Brown, Bobby Brown, and Miles Davis, the trinity who inspired his perfectionist's rigor and constant artistic left turns. Sam handled all rhymes, singing, production, and arrangements himself, with an assist from Long Beach kinsman Tom Kendall of Soular System.
