Released in 1977 on Rouge, a subsidiary of the long-established British library label Music De Wolfe, it was crafted by studio band Soul City Orchestra, a pseudonym for De Wolfe in-house composers Chris Rae and Franck McDonald. The driving instrumental funk-rock of the A-side is heightened with strings and drama, while the flipside reaches symphonic soul heaven on cuts like "Chamber Maid," "Sore Head," and the radiant "Soul City Drive." Meticulously remastered with the original sleeve restored.
