The Italian duo have spent four albums keeping electronics at the edge of the frame. On Lumina they move them to the middle. Thirteen interconnected tracks put synthesizers, arpeggiators and club rhythms alongside oud, cello, vibraphone and percussion, and the record runs continuously rather than stopping between songs. It was developed live at Robot Festival in Bologna and JazzMi in Milan through late 2025, and the audiences in those rooms shaped what it became. Perry Maysun features.
