Released on EMI in June 1997, Niji Densetsu 2 is his twenty-sixth studio album and a noticeably more aggressive guitar record than the 1981 concept piece it follows, pulling jazz fusion, progressive rock, funk, and pop into the same hour. "Into the Sky" served as a closing theme for Sports Urugusu. This SHM-CD pressing comes from Universal's J-Fusion Breeze series, remastered for the format.
