Richard Last Group’s “Get Ready” is one of the rarest LPs from the golden age of Italian progressive rock, originally released in a 1972 that’s been revolutionary for the music genre, both in Italy and internationally. Founded in Milan in 1969 as Duu Duu, the band became Richard Last Group two years later, when singer Maurizio Calò joined the line-up, later calling himself Richard Coley.
“Get Ready” is the only album released by Richard Last Group who, due to numerous line-up changes that also occurred during the recording sessions, had practically already dissolved in the Autumn of 1972, and is one of those little hidden gems that hardly anyone talked about at the time, only resurfacing much later, towards the end of the 90s.
