Heard today, it isn't a masterpiece in the mold of Daydream Nation or a play for the mainstream like Goo; it just sounds like a damn good rock album, and on those terms it ranks with Sonic Youth's best. Recorded and produced with Butch Vig at The Magic Shop in early 1992, it spawned four singles: "100%," "Youth Against Fascism," "Sugar Kane," and "Drunken Butterfly."
