Floral Green is where Title Fight stopped being a hardcore band that liked shoegaze and became something harder to label. The Kingston, Pennsylvania group kept the urgency of their early records but let the guitars blur and the melodies stretch, and the result sits somewhere between post-hardcore and something much hazier. "Head in the Ceiling Fan" is the track that converted people, a slow, heavy drift that sounds nothing like the songs around it. The rest moves fast and hits hard. It is the record that gave a generation of younger bands permission to turn the reverb up, and it still sounds restless.
