Akira Ishikawa was the busiest drummer in Japanese jazz when he took the Count Buffalo Jazz and Rock Band into the studio in 1970 with Africa on his mind. Takeru Muraoka on tenor, Kiyoshi Sugimoto on electric guitar, Hiromasa Suzuki on electric piano and Norio Maeda on organ, with Masami Kawahara adding percussion across the whole record. Sandstorm and African Deer open it up, then the title track takes nearly eleven minutes of side two and turns the rhythm section loose. Gatefold jacket with obi and a foldout insert.
