Bigxthaplug spent the last two years proving a Dallas rapper could carry country radio and rap radio in the same week, and Better Over Time is where he stops treating that as a novelty. Eighteen tracks deep, it leans on the thing that got him here: a low, unbothered drawl that sits behind the beat and dares you to rush it. The title is a thesis about patience, and the sequencing backs it, building from street records into the wide open hooks that turned Take Care into a crossover. Pressed on blue vinyl for independent shops. Street date: October 30.
