Bob Azzam was an Egyptian-born singer who built his career in Europe, and in 1969 he cut one strange, wonderful album with a band called The Great Expectation. Crate diggers know it for the drum break on "Rain Rain Go Away," chased for decades. The rest of it earns the reissue: a fuzz-and-sitar reading of the Stones' "The Last Time," a Tropicalia turn on "Berimbau," and "Mon Amour" leaning into an Arabic melody. Remastered by Real Gone Music and pressed on fire orange vinyl, its first reissue in any format. Street date: September 4.
