Album Facts
Bob Dylan - MTV Unplugged Vinyl LP
Legendary unplugged set shows Bob doesn't always go electric
- Reissue of Bob Dylan's intimate 1995 MTV Unplugged performance
- Acoustic reinterpretations of classics like Like a Rolling Stone and Knockin' on Heaven's Door
- Must-own for Dylan completists and live-album collectors
Recorded in November 1994 for MTV, Bob Dylan's Unplugged finds him revisiting songs from across his career with a tight acoustic band, and it is livelier and looser than the format suggests. Like a Rolling Stone, All Along the Watchtower, The Times They Are a-Changin', Desolation Row and Rainy Day Women #12 & 35 get fresh, rough-edged arrangements, while lesser-known gems like John Brown and Dignity are given new life. It is a warm, spirited snapshot of Dylan in the mid-90s, before his late-career renaissance. Essential for collectors and Dylan devotees.
