Tenebre is Claudio Simonetti's pulsing score for Dario Argento's 1982 giallo, and here Simonetti and his Goblin band cut a new version of it for Rustblade. The music's trademark collision of Italo disco drive and horror prog is all there: vocoder hooks, electronic drums and relentless basslines on the title theme, Flashing and Waiting the Death, rebuilt with modern sonic detail while keeping the menace that made the original a genre touchstone. This deluxe CD adds bonus remixes by Tibia and Simulakrum Lab plus alternate and live versions.
