Cocteau Twins - Heaven or Las Vegas Vinyl LP
Fraser at her most legible, Guthrie at his most weightless
- The band's final album for 4AD, featuring 'Cherry-Coloured Funk' and 'Iceblink Luck'
- Heavyweight vinyl cut from HD 96/24 masters
- Includes an MP3 download coupon
The last record Cocteau Twins made for 4AD, and the one most people start with, largely because Elizabeth Fraser is singing something close to actual English on it. That legibility changes everything: 'Cherry-Coloured Funk', 'Iceblink Luck' and the title track land as songs rather than weather systems, while Robin Guthrie's guitars keep doing what only his guitars do, all shimmer and reverb and no visible edges. Simon Raymonde's basslines hold the whole thing down while the other two float. Cut from HD 96/24 masters on heavyweight vinyl, with a download coupon included.
