Ninja Tune label co-founders and electronic music pioneers Coldcut are re-issuing their seminal album Let Us Play. Originally released in 1997, Let Us Play was Coldcut’s first album on their own label, Ninja Tune, leading DJ Magazine to declare “Matt Black and Jonathan More have lost none of their zeitgeist-sniffing perceptiveness, surreal sense of humor, or methodical technological futurism”. The album includes the undoubted classic ’Timber’ as well as mixes of ‘Atomic Moog 2000’ and ‘More Beats + Pieces’. In true Coldcut style, the album also features genre-leaping collaborations with the likes of Steinski, Jello Biafra (of Dead Kennedys), Jimpster, legendary drummer Bernard ‘Pretty’ Purdie, The Herbaliser and DJ Food to name but a few. Limited to 100 copies only on clear splatter vinyl housed in printed 12” inner sleeves.
