TOKYOHUM is DJ Krush's fourteenth album and his first since Saisei, built on the idea of the city as a living pulse. Ten tracks move through the low-lit, bass-heavy territory the Tokyo producer has been mapping for more than three decades, with guests Riko Dan, MC Yallah and ELIM cutting across the instrumentals. Dark, patient and hypnotic, it is the work of a turntable pioneer still pushing his sound forward. The cover carries an original drawing by B-boy sculptor Taku Obata, made on one of Krush's own records. Japanese import CD edition.
