Satori is five parts of one continuous piece, and it does not sound like anything else from 1971. Flower Travellin' Band ran hard rock and psychedelia into traditional Eastern modes, with Joe Yamanaka's voice riding over extended guitar passages and a rhythm section that never lets the tension drop. It was ahead of the Western heavy rock it borrowed from, and the stoner and doom bands who found it decades later have been quietly working from it ever since. Reissued by Munster with an insert.
