Secret Life is the first full collaboration between Fred Again and Brian Eno, two producers separated by a generation but bound by a decade of mutual mentorship. Built slowly across sessions from 2020 to 2022, it trades Fred's club instincts for something hushed and weightless, all suspended chords, treated voices, and long ambient drifts that seem to hover rather than progress. Four Tet released it on his Text label and called it the most beautiful album of the year, which is not far off. Music for headphones, late hours, and quiet rooms.
