Fugazi's third album is the one that sequences like a descent. Facet Squared opens almost bright, close to pop-punk in its delivery, and by the end you are in the quiet dread of Last Chance For A Slow Dance. In between sits the noise: 23 Beats Off, half instrumental and mostly texture, and Guy Picciotto's Rend It, where walls of guitar close in around the vocal. Recorded in 1993 after an abandoned session with Steve Albini. Remastered, with a full color inner sleeve, on crystal vellum vinyl.
