Fujimaru Band left exactly one album, and BGM has spent decades as a name traded between collectors rather than a record most people had heard. Cut for King Records in 1977, it sits where Japanese studio funk met library music: tight rhythm section, electric piano, flute and guitar lines written to sit under something and good enough to sit on their own. The grooves are unhurried and the arrangements are generous with space. Pressed in Japan on uncolored virgin vinyl with the original sleeve art restored.
