Dizzy Up the Girl is the Goo Goo Dolls' sixth studio album, released in 1998, and the record where the Buffalo alt-rock veterans became one of the defining bands of the late 90s. Its heart is Iris, the soaring acoustic ballad first heard on the City of Angels soundtrack, but the album is stacked with more: Slide, Black Balloon, Broadway and Dizzy, all built on John Rzeznik's big, open-hearted melodies and Robby Takac's punchy energy. Polished but sincere, it remains an essential slice of 90s rock radio. Vinyl LP pressing.
