A Tokyo session date from 1979, and the reason collectors still chase it is side B. Five composers were each asked for an original: Hiromasa Suzuki, Haruomi Hosono, Mickie Yoshino, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Yuji Ohno. Hosono turned in Jamaica Ginger, Sakamoto turned in Dragoon, and neither reads as session filler. Side A is a different animal, one unbroken medley running better than nineteen minutes through fifteen hits of the moment, with Yuichi Tokashiki, Akira Okazawa and Kiyoshi Sugimoto holding the floor. Back on vinyl for the first time since the original Blow Up pressing.
